- My husband, John & I have been together for thirteen years and have 2 daughters. We had been searching for properties in the Eastern NC region for about six years since my parents moved down there, Mainly to get the heck out of New Jersey and its ever-rising costs, but also to start our business, Enchanted Gardens Landscape Design, LLC, Organic Micro-Farming; and the Mason Supply Yard. Finally in May of 2007, I stumbled across the property located in Alliance. It has six acres with highway frontage, the house is on the Main Street of the town, and an antique home. We are not the first family not of the "Tingle" line to own this house..the house had been rented out for about 20 years, so this restoration is not only for us, but for the Tingle Family. I feel that we are blessed to be the stewards of this property. I have always loved Victorian homes since I was a little girl, I have wished to get my hands on a house to restore. I love our "Tingle House" a true Folk Victorian. It has history and surprises, and keeps me coming back for more. Enjoy our journey and much as we are!
