Day 2 in NC
Hey everyone - just letting you all know that I am alive and well - the trip down was no problem, and I am working my ass off on the fireplace bedroom. Turns out the sheetrock was for shit, so I took it all off and I am painting the wainscoting, which is actually very original to the house, as that was the walls in 1894. Did some masonary patching on the fireplace which I will be tiling,- that will be a back breaker of a job- funny angle to be working from- but should look nice whan I am all done. Weather has been good - some rain yesterday and last night but sunny and about 67 today....No injuries so far- just a splinter in my finger and a glob of paint in my eye.....and tons in my hair.... Christie is a chicken shit and totally scared of the house - I think that she just dosent like that it is under construction and the noise and all that - she literally sits there and shakes.....coward!
